Hartford offers a wide variety of recreation and fun you, your friends and your family. For your party needs, there are four park shelters available by reservation.

Golfing
Central Valley Golf Course, an 18-hole golf course, is located in the heart of Hartford, 700 E. Highway 38. Call 605-528-3971 for restaurant and lounge. Call 605-528-6122 for tee times, golf shop or to talk to the golf pro.

Hartford Park & Swimming Pool
The City has a beautiful park with swimming pool, tennis courts, skate board park, kids play equipment, picnic shelters, softball/baseball diamonds, volley ball court, basketball court and horseshoe pit. Located off North VanDeMark Avenue and East Second Street.

Library
A branch of the Siouxland Library is located in Hartford at 705 E. 2nd Street. Call 605-528-3223 for information.

I-90 Speedway
Racing fun is located just 2 miles west of Hartford on Highway 38. Motorsport fans will enjoy watching NMRA sprint cars & modified races on this 3/8 mile dirt track. 528-6380.

Wall Lake
For boating, swimming and fishing fun, Wall Lake is located 5 miles south of Hartford.

Veterans Memorial
The Hartford Veterans Memorial is located at 201 N. Main Avenue. A big thanks to Ernest Kroeger-soley responsible for this memorial.
